When the spindle motor fails it can cause your hard disk to overheat, which causes the hard disk shaft to expand and shift the spindle motor. If this happens your hard disk will become unusable, fortunately, when this type of failure begins to occur there are some warning signs. When your spindle motor begins to fail you may hear a whining or whirring noise along with a grinding noise accompanied by high-pitched screeching. Once you hear these noises it is important that you back up all of your information on disk or CD, and get your computer to a technician directly.
Electronic data recovery failure is easily diagnosed by taking a look at your hard drive's circuit board. This particular kind of data recovery failure can happen at any time, without warning. It doesn't matter if your hard disk is brand new or five years old, electronic failure can happen to your computer.
